DESCRIPTION:Free seven-week 4-part harmony singing course for male voices\,
  run in Guildford by Surrey Fringe Chorus!\n\nBEGINNERS WELCOME.  All mat

 oes the course start\, and what are the session dates?\nThe course runs fo
 r seven weeks. Sessions take place on Tuesday evenings\, from 29 September
  to 10 November inclusive.\n\nWhat are the timings?\nThe warm-up starts at
  7.45 p.m. and sessions run until 10 p.m. We recommend arriving at 7.30 p.
 m. for the first session to allow time for registration.\n\nDo I need any 
 singing experience?\nNot at all. Complete beginners are very welcome\, as 
 are people who already sing or are returning after a break. The coaching a
 nd learning materials will help everyone develop from their own starting p
 oint.\n\nDo I need to be able to read music?\nNo\, you do not need to read
  music to take part. You will receive sheet music\, but audio learning tra
 cks will also be provided so that you can learn your part by listening.\n\
 nWhat if I am nervous?\nThat is completely normal\, especially if you have
  not sung in a group before. You will be welcomed on arrival\, surrounded 
 by other singers and supported throughout the evening. Nobody will be put 
 on the spot.\n\nCan I come and watch before deciding?\nVisitors are welcom
 e at our regular rehearsals. If you would like to watch before joining the
  course\, please contact us so that we know to expect you.\n\nWhat happens
  when I arrive?\nYou will be welcomed and registered before joining everyo
 ne for a relaxed group warm-up. We will then help each participant find th
 e voice part that feels most comfortable. There is no audition and nobody 
 will be asked to sing in front of the group. Once everyone has settled int
 o a voice part\, you will be given the music and audio learning tracks for
  the two songs. Over the seven weeks\, we will learn the songs together\, 
 build confidence and prepare for the final concert.\n\nWill I sing alone?\
 nNo. You will always sing as part of the group\, with plenty of voices aro
 und you\, and you will never be expected to perform a solo. Our Musical Di
 rector may listen to you sing a couple of notes in private\, but only to h
 elp place you in the most suitable voice part.\n\nWhat kind of songs will 
 we sing?\nWe will learn two pop songs arranged for four-part male voice ch
 orus. We don't want to spoil the surprise\, but they are well-known songs 
 that you are sure to have heard!\n\nDo I need to prepare or bring anything
 ?\nYou do not need to prepare or bring anything. Most people bring a bottl
 e of water\, but tap water is also available at the venue.\n\nWhat should 
 I wear?\nThere is no dress code. Just wear whatever feels comfortable!\n\n
 Where do I park?\nOn-street parking is available close to Bellfields Youth
  & Community Centre. A small amount of parking is also available at the ve
 nue itself.\n\nIs there a drink or social element afterwards?\nYes! The ch
 orus is a very sociable bunch\, and many members can usually be found catc
 hing up in the local pub after rehearsals.\n\nWhat happens at the final co
 ncert?\nAt the end of the course\, participants will perform the two songs
  they have learned alongside Surrey Fringe Chorus at a free concert for fa
 mily and friends on 10 November. You will sing as part of the full group\
 , with plenty of support around you. Details of the concert venue and timi
 ngs will be provided during the course.\n\nDo I have to take part in the c
 oncert?\nThe concert is the shared goal of the course\, and we hope everyo
 ne will take part. If you have any concerns about performing\, please spea
 k to us. You will be singing as part of the group and will not be expected
  to perform alone.\n\nWhat happens after the course ends?\nThe whole seven
 -week course is completely free\, with absolutely no strings attached. If 
 you enjoy the experience and would like to continue singing\, you will be
